SONIC UPDATE MANAGER
I'm getting 2 msgs - Install Sonic Update Manager, then window changes to "install", msg in window is UM.MSI and when it goes to look in "My Documents" nothing is found. I went to the "Windows" file, and it found nothing there. What IS SONIC UPDATE MANAGER, DO I NEED IT FOR WINDOWS AT ALL? WHAT DOES IT DO? I DON'T HAVE A CD IT IS REQUESTING ME TO insert to install SUM-- what do I do now? My computer is hanging, and I cannot open any programs because it flips back and forth between "install" and "Sonic Update Manager" - I'm totally confused. Don't know if I accidentally removed a necessary program or not, but since I don't have a Windows CD ROM, I can't reinstall whatever it's asking me to install!! CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT HERE??? PLEASE!!

Hi, This news group is for exchange server where there is no sonic update manager. A quick search on google implies that the sonic software is part of a standard Dell pc image (Sonic is not a part of windows so you won't get much help on Microsoft forums) Leif

Ditto here Barbara. That Sonic Update Manager is doing the same thing to me. I need help if anyone out there knows how to remove this thing. I don't have the requied disc to continue to the download , but it won't go away and has partially installed. I want nothing to do with this program. Just how do you remove it so you can go on using your computer.? surfer1955Jeanette Southworth
