Security Concern with Generic Mailbox
Hi,
I know very little about exchange server, I'm an ASP.NET software developer.
My team and I have developed an application that requires a generic corporate mailbox to send and receive email, and process incoming email attachments. We thus need to be able to access the mailbox programmatically. This is for a corporate client
of ours so we have no control over enterprise infrastructure. I believe its Exchange Server 2003.
I've since been informed that there are security issues with generic mailboxes and that they could be misused. Does anyone know what these issues might be.
Cheers
Tim

Ask those who "informed" you what they believe those issues are.
