Selectively look (and report) for a specific email message server wide then delete it via a seperate command
I am sure this question was asked in some form or fashion however I am missing portions of what I am looking for. I know that PowerShell is the only way to do this and I want to be 1000% sure before I do anything. What I would like to do is first run a report to a text file to "look" for a particular message on all mailboxes server wide. I then would like to run a seperate script against the server to actually remove or relocate the message. Thank you in advance,

See if this looks like something you might want to pursue further: http://gsexdev.blogspot.com/2008/08/using-exchange-web-services-to-enhance.html[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

Thank you for this information Michael - I also saw this and it provides a great way to locate and delete the messages which is one part of my need. The first part however is to report who has the particular messages to better make a determination on if I should remove or relocate the message(s) in question.

Thank you for this information mjolinor. I wish I could say I fully understand the level of detail of your website however I am unfortunately not a programmer nor PowerShel savvy. This has been a small issue on my behalf as I have grown dependent on GUI utilities such as EXMerge to perform this process. With the introduction and subsequent mandate to code your way through tasks reporting then removing specific messages on Exchange 2007, I admit it has been a challenge. It seems like your code/scripts can be helpful however I am not 100% sure where to begin.

Did you check with third part tool like Quest software. I must say you should check with them if you can go with third party solution.Anil
