Send-As permissions does not work on DynamicDistributioGroup in Exchange 2007 SP2 (bug ?)
I could assign send-as permissions using ADD-ADPermission -identity Admin -ExtendedRights "Send-As" -user domain\SenderGivenRights The above works fine in case of normal distribution group but does not in case of dynamic distribution group ? can i try SP3 ? Hi Shahid Roofi, Sure, I would suggest that you could update the exchange to exchange 2007 sp3 RU2. Some information for you: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2010/12/14/457194.aspx Regards! Yes updated to SP3 and also applied RU2. But not fixed!. I believe it's a simple and straight forward bug and very simple to reproduce and check in any environment. Shahid Roofi

Hi Shahid, Any update for your issue? I have made a test with exchange 2007 sp3, and everything work well. My test like below: 1. create a ddg with name: testddg1 2. use add-adpermission -identity "testddg1" -user USERA -entendedrights "send as" to add the send as permission for USERA on the ddg 3. send a email using mailbox USERA on behalf of the DDG1, the email could be delivered successfully. If I misunderstand your issue, please tell me. Regards!
