Send As, Send on Behalf not working

Hello

I have added send as permission on user1 mailbox for user2.

In browser OWA, When user2 logs in, and click on "New mail", and click on "From" drop down menu, he does not get any other option in this list except his own email id.

I guess this "from" dropdown menu should have user1 email id also since "send as" has been set for user2 (under user1 mailbox setting).

Same with "Send on Behalf" option. under User3 mailbox settings, "Send on Behalf: has been set to User4.

In browser OWA, when user4 logs in, and click on "New mail", and click on "From" drop down menu, he does not get any other option in this list except his own email id.

I restarted entire exchange server and also waited for more than 3 days (as some says it might takes 24 hrs to take effect)

Why they do not get any option under "from" dropdown of new mail window.

Pls help me.

Thanx

To change the "From address" when composing new message in OWA, you need to click/select the user in the address field, then remove it and type the new one. It does not automatically populate the From button drop-down menu.

Hi,

- Can you type the mail address directly in 'From' field and click check name option ?

- You can try to re-set the permissions via this command :

Add-ADPermission -Identity "user2" -User "user2" -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights "Send As"

in OWA, after going to "New mail" i clicked on "To" field and selected user1, and then clicked on "From" dropdown menu above, but still it does not show user1 in this list. only user itself (user2) shows.

when you said "click/select the user in address field", i guess you mean to say "To" field.

But it does not work.

- I did try with your command. but it does not solve the problem.

No, I mean exactly the address field next to the From button, where your address will be listed. Select it, remove it, enter the delegate address.
