I have the following scenario. Users with 2 active directory accounts. Account A is linked to email A @domain1.com Account B is linked to email B @domain2.com The users log in to account A on their machines, and in Outlook email A is setup. email B is added as a second mailbox. Account A is given full manage rights, and send as right via EMC. When a user receives or send mail for email A all is fine. If the user receives email at email B, then replies to it, all is fine. If a user starts a fresh email and tries to use B as the from address, they get an NDR that they do not have "send on behalf of" permissions to that mailbox. This is by design, I don't want them sending on behalf of, I want them sending as. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hi Can you run this shell command Add-ADPermission -Identity "account" -User "User name" -ExtendedRights "send as" -AccessRights ReadProperty, WriteProperty -Properties "Personal Information" and still if same issue, reconfigure once and try again This will solve above issue.

The problem isn't that the users doesn't have the right permissions. The problem is that when I select from and chose the alternate address, this one user gets a bounce message that they don't have "Send on behalf" permissions to this mailbox. The problem is. 1. They don't have "send on behalf" permissions, which is also called delegation, they have "send as" permissions. I've checked and the send on behalf permissions aren't there which is good. For some reason though her outlook client is tryint to send on behalf of. 2. We set up 12 other users and they all work fine. BTW your article ‘Granting the Send As Permission for a Mailbox’ has incorrect syntax towards the end. It says "Now you notice that Administrator mailbox is now able to send mails on behalf of user Triston." which is confusing your readers. "Send as" permissions is point of the article, but in exchange there is also a "send on behalf of" feature. Two separate features. I think you should reword that last sentence. Anyway, the problem still exists for this user.

If it's just for one user, then try the below if you havent. Try using online mode and NOT cache mode. Create a new MAPI profile for this users and test. Try for the same user on another PC. Sukh
