Send As permission
I'm not sure where to post this. I was asked to set up a blackberry server to interface with Exchange server. One of the things I have to do is grant send as permission to the blackberry account. I found this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998291.aspx It says to open the exchange management console. I don't have an exchange management console, I have an Exchange System Manager. It then says to select Recipient Configuration in the tree. I don't have Recipient Configuration. I have a Recipients folder but no configuration that I can find. Am I using an outdated version of Exchange? Thanks.

The following procedure will allow system managers to grant users the ability to send as another: On User level ============ Log onto the server running Exchange. Run Active Directory Users and Computers. Under the "View" menu ensure that "Advanced Features" is ticked. Find the user's account that you want to be able to send as, and open up the account properties. Select the "Security" tab. Click [Add ...] (under "Group or user names") and add the user (users or group) that is to be granted permission to send-as this account. For each account added, highlight the account under "Group or user names" and in the "Permissions for ..." window grant the account "Send As" permission. Click [OK] to close the account properties dialog. On store Level ============= If you want to add send as permission to some accounton store level so that the account can have the permission towards all mailboxes on the store, you can expand Exchange System Managerand right click the storeto choose security-> add the account -> check the send as permission. Note: you need click "advance" to uncheck the "inherit" permission so that you can modify ACLs. Hope it helps, -Jason
