Send as Attachment from Excel - Message body empty after sending + sends from wrong account

Hello,

OS - Windows 7 / Office 2013 (fully updated)

I have a user with 4 Exchange accounts setup in Outlook 2013. His workflow is to email Excel documents using the Share\Send as Attachment function from within the Excel application. Recently when this process is used the message he writes and sends with the attachment becomes blank. This can be seen both in his Sent Items folder and on the recipient's end. Also it only sends from 1 specific Exchange account even if a different one is chosen at the time of writing the message.

To troubleshoot I created a new profile and added the accounts. This worked for a month or so but now He's experiencing the same issue again.

Just wondering if this is a know issue I have been unable to find anything in my searches. Anyone else seeing this? Any good workarounds, fixes .etc?

Thanks!

So a new profile fixed the issue previously. Could still be an issue with the profile, and lots of thing might cause Outlook profile corruptions.

I would suggest check the add-ins first. Also, if you have any anti-virus software, disable them and try.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will take those into consideration.

Also, I now have had the account switching issue with a second user. Both users are on OL2013 and coincidentally both have one Exchange 2010 account that seems to always make it's self the default whenever sending directly from an application like Excel or Acrobat. This account is not set as the "Default" account in Outlook for either user.

3PointD,

Can you check and see if this workaround will address it for you?

Click File, Account Settings, Account Settings, and click Data Files.  If a PST file is set as the default change it to the email account.  It would be the same default account you see on the E-mail tab in the Account Settings.

Once you make this change see if the problem still occurs.
