Send email via mobile phone
Hi all, I wonder if here is the right place for my questionAny redirection suggestion will be highly appreciated!I use mobile phone to send email, however, Ifound it inconvenientthat my email address must be like 888888888@tmomail.net(for example 888888888 is my mobile phone number and @tmomail.com is the carrier domain of T-Mobile), I wonder if there is a function in Outlook or Exchange that makes my email address appear as my name such as KDS leng. Orcan I useVSTO to create the add-in on Outlook to realize the functionAny answers will be highly appreciated!

Hi,If you are using Exchange servers activesync function you have the same e-mail address as you have on the exchange server.What are you using to send mail from the phone?Is the phone's OS windows mobile or another OS with activesync implementet?Leif

For this you will have to email enable your number by calling your Carrier/Service provider . so that you can send email as sms from your cell phone. This has nothing to do with active sync or Exchange server Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

I think you need to ask this to your service provider. Recipient address is 8888888888@tmobile.net so once mail is delivered to carrier's domain space (tmoblie.net) then it is up to them on how they convert email to SMS/MMS and display the "From" address on the mobile of recipient. Conversation from email to sms/mms is not in the control of Sender's Exchange/Outlook...
