Send on behalf of another user whitout having own mailbox
Hi,"User A" is a AD user with a mailbox enabled. "User B" is an AD user without is own mailbox. We need to configure "User B" to use "User A" mailbox for nay Exchnage related tasks. We acheive to add permissions to "User B" on "User A" mailbox so he can send and receive on behalf. But, evertime we click on "Send and Receive" in Outlook, we recceive the error message "0x8004010F" related to the Offline address list. This DOES NOT prevent the "User B" to acces and send emails but it is very annoying. The only way we acheived to get rid of that message is to create a mailbox for "User B" on the exchnage server. With is own mailbox enabled, even if "User B" uses the mailbox of "User A", no errors occurs. This is most likely to be a security issue but we can't manage to find the right place to adjust permission. We do not want to create any other mailbox.

I believe the MAPI permission model requires that only a mail-enabled user can be granted the permissions you're wanting.

Hello Martin,When we click on Send/Receive it also kicks for downloading OAB and save in the local machine (By Design).... how about if you change the profile from cache mode to online mode and check.I haven't tested this yet, but i am 100% sure that in online mode you shouldn't get this error.Arun Kumar | MCSE - 2K3 + Messaging | ITIL-F V3

Hi,That's normal behaviour. Please understand that when the outlook client starts up it will look at its own user object in the active directory to see if there is anything in the msExchUseOAB attribute in order to download OAB. If there is nothing on the user object then a query for the msExchUseOAB attribute on mailbox store where the mailbox resides.Since the User B is just an AD user without mailbox enabled, the client cannot connect to that the OAB folder to download the OAB. Then the 0x8004010F will be received. For more information, please refer to the below article:http://blogs.msdn.com/dgoldman/archive/2008/10/01/understanding-why-error-code-0x8004010f-is-thrown-when-trying-to-download-an-oab.aspxThanksAllen
