Sending mail trough sbs2003 exchange using IPS smtp ip address
Hi everyone, I have a blacklist problem. The IP adress of my exchange server is in a "spamy neighbourhood". This causes our mail to bounce at sertaindomainsbecause other clients of our ISP did not protect their server, or are spamming themselves. At this moment we use exchange, and smtp connectors to send mail with smtp authentication. When doing this the senders IP address in the header mail's internet header is the external IP adress of our sbs2003 server. Is there any way to make the senders IPshow the ISP's IP ardress (smtp.provider.pl)like it would when sending mail direclty from outlook? Reason being that this IP is not on any blacklists. It would save me a whole lot of frustration..... Sorry if I'm not really clear... I'mno expert, trying to solve a blacklist problem that even my system administrator has given up on. Best regards, Huib

Hi, The should configure your smtp connector to send all mail via a smart host. You can change this by following the steps below: - open the Exchange System Manager - expand the server - expand protocols - select smtp - on the right side get the properties of the virtual server - go to the delivery tab - click the advanced button - in the smarthost fill in the smtp server from your isp.
