Sent Email Lost
Hi Experts,
I have just informed by a user that all the email sent by him for today are not showing up in the sent items and he did sent some email internally and externally and they are not yet delivered as yet. I have checked myself in his mailbox and deleted items
(under options section - to recovery if deleted accidently) on the exchange server but no luck.
I don't know where to look, I would like to recover this sent emails. Is there a place on the exchange server 2007 they may be hidden or cached?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I'd guess that he has a damaged .ost file that's casuing the problem.
Are the messages still in the "Outbox" folder on his machine?

the lost emails.? At this stage do I need delete the current .ost and so outlook can create a new one automatically. Please advise?
If the messages aren't in the mailbox then they've either been removed
(check "Recover Deleted Items" for each folder) or were never sent.
You said that the messages were never delivered so I'm guessing they
never left the client.

So the issue disappeared automatically. It works fine just now? Am I correct?
Did you enable message tracking before 09 AM?
If so, please check the message tracking report.

Yes it working fine no complaint as yet.
Yes I think the message tracking is enabled and I have tried to check if any emails are sent but unable to locate.

Do you mean you can’t find any message that was sent by the user during that time?
As I know, if message is submitted successfully, you can find the message via message tracking.
Before message is submitted to Exchange server, the message is stored in Outbox.
Are there any message in Outbox, does the user ever empty the Outbox?
