Server Side Rules & Exchange 2007 Sp1
Has anyone encountered a scenario on Exchange 2007 sp1 where a user creates Server-side rules - either via OWA or Outlook - and the server does NOT apply the rules as the messages arrive. If a user tells his/her e-mail client to run the rules NOW they do work?
Thanks,
Robert

Dear customer:
From your post, I understand the issue is:You create server-side rule on OWA or Outlook, however it doesnt work until you run the rules. If I'm off base, please feel free to let me know.Basically, we consider Exchange 2007 Transport Rules could exactly meet your requirement. You could refer to the following document for more information about it.Overview of Transport Ruleshttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998860.aspxThe following document introduced how to managing transport rules. Hope it would be very useful for you.Managing Transport Ruleshttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995961(EXCHG.80).aspxIf there is anything unclear, please feel free to let me know.

Rock,
You are correct regarding how the server-side rules are currently working. I understand the use of Transport Rules but for the regular end-user who wishes to create their own set ofserver-side rules,it doesn't appear to make a lot of sense that I would have to go ahead and create a new Transport Rule on the Exchange server each time.
