Hi all,I've been searching for a while on this one now and returned inconclusive results so thought i'd stick this senario out there.Within my organisation we have users with individual mailboxes and public folders assigned to the department for global mail. For example; bob@mydomain.comjeff@mydomain.comBoth work in the accounts department so have access to the mail enabled public folder accounts@mydomain.com so they can both look to see what has been sent to the department and mark posts etc making them visible to others.The problem is this; What if bob or jeff want to send an email to a client but when the client replies it sould return to accounts@mydomain.com incase either is off sick. How can this be done using exchange server 2003?I'm sure there must be loads of people doing this in senarios such as techsupport@supportcomapny.com etc so can someone please shed some light on the situation. Managed to figure this one out so thought i would share the solution!To grant a user the Send As permissions for a public folder;1. Start Exchange System Manager, and then locate the public folder.2. Right-click the public folder, and then click Properties.3. Click the Permissions tab, and then click Directory rights.4. Add the user who you want to grant Send As permissions to, and then click the user in the Name list.5. In the Allow column of the Permissions list, click to select the Send As check box.6. Click Apply, and then click OK.7. Right-click the public folder that you created, and then click Properties.8. Under Exchange Advanced, click to clear the hide from Exchange address lists check box.9. Type a name for the alias in the simple display name box.10. Click OK.Then add the from field to outlook using the options arrow when sending a new message and select the public folder you wish to send on behalf of.Turns out it is that easy!Special thanks to msexchange forums.
