Setting Permissions on Archive Folders?
Hello,
I want to set folder permissions on folders in users Online Archives in Exchange 2010.
Is this possible using ADD-MailboxFolderPermission/SET-MailboFolderPermission?
Can't find any help on this. Especially what the syntax of the IDENTITY parameter would be...
Thanks

Hi,
Currentlly, ADD-MailboxFolderPermission/SET-MailboFolderPermission does not support to the user's archive mailbox.
We can use Outlook to configure it:
1, Right click a folder in archive mailbox and choose permission.
2, In permission tab, then change the permission level.

Thank you Gen,
that was my assumption - just wanted to double check.
I know that I can use Outlook to accomplish this.

Exchange 2003 allowed you to propogate the folder permissions from the main/root folder down to all sub-folders. Our Organization is having this problem with a users personal archive. It is the same whether in the users main account or the personal archive.
There does not appear to be a propagation feature in the permissions tab to allow this.
Question is; can this be done using a PS Cmdlet in the Exchange Console to set Inheritance on a users account which could also solve the problem? We know we can set this to allow another user these permissions, the question remains can this be done to the
owner of the mailbox. Setting singular permissions on 1000's of sub-folders makes no sense at all.
