Setting permissions on mail boxes fails
I have a number of issues I'm experiencing with Exchange 2010 (part of sbs2011). Firstly, I have set all the necessary permissions for a user to send on behalf of a given user and whilst it all looks to work, no email actually gets sent. You can write the email, choose the account from which to send it and then it fails to send...staying in the Outbox. Secondly< I created Public Folders and mail enabled them. Now, when an HTML email comes in from a given source, the emails look blank in both Outlook and OWA. I have removed all anti-virus programmes and disabled anti-spam and the problem is now sporadic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Thirdly, to over come the issue of the Public Folders, I've created accounts for each mail address and shared the mail boxes, so whilst not as tidy as Public folders, it works....to a point. Sometimes, even when looking in Outlook, emails can't be seen by users who have been given permission to see that mailbox. They can see old emails, but not new ones. I have used the management Shell to set permissions using the following: Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "Tony Smith" -User "Ayla Kol" -AccessRights ReadPermissionHowever, the user is able to delete from that Inbox folder. I then went to the account, opened Outlook and set permissions that way and yet still, users could delete.Nothing I am doing stops a user from deleting.I manage a number of SBS2011 servers but this one is just acting really strangely...Any help would be most appreciated.

Hello, In order to avoid confusion and keep track of troubleshooting steps, we usually troubleshoot one issue per thread in order to find a resolution efficiently. Hi Lisa I have resolved the deleting of emails issue but not of the HTML emails appearing blank in Outook and OWA for all accounts on the system. It is not specific to a certain user or account. Only thing seems to be is that Public Folders show certain html emails as blank.
