Hello guys,I am currently working on a Window SBS 2003 OS system, I want to set up internet email for work. I am wanting to set it up as a "Member" Server on our local network. My question is, do I really need DNS, if not how would I go about removing it and still be successful in the setup of Internet email?Thanks for your help ahead of time!!!Geofoxer

Why would youeverwant to get rid of DNS? Its required for active directory and exchange and email to function.

I was talking to a friend in the States and he had said that I could set up the Server without DNS and have the server on the Network as a "Member" Server. I am working in Germany right now as an intern, but anyways... I will just start off here and tell you exactly what I am doing with this server.For one we are paying for internet email with 1und1.de who is hosting our Email addresses and Email accounts. What I need to do is get a redirect using Dyndns.com. I have everything pretty much set up, my problem right now is the default alias for the Email addresses in the Exchange Servers Post Office Memory. Say the domain is "microsoft" for emample, and every time you create an Email in Exchange it is automatically "asdf@microsoft". I have changed the email addresses under the user accounts and such, but it does not syncronize correctly when I connect the Client Outlook Computer to the Exchange Server for the Outlook account, it is still "asdf@microsoft" instead of "asdf@microsoft.com" (microsoft.biz and such) when I have retrieved the info from the Exchange server to the Client Computer. The question is, how do I change this and get the right alias everytime when creating a new Email address (for a new user) in Exchange.And please excuse some of the bad English Grammer here, I have not used much english since I arrived in Germany as an Exchange Student.Thanks...******Never mind I got it... thanks for the help!!!
