Share Calandars between servers (Exch2003)
Situation:
Our company has 2 major groups with each his own domain and IT/server infrastructure. The 2 groups have their own exchange servers. Now several people (management) are starting to work in the 2 groups. All secretarys can look in the calendars of the management to plan their meetings or see where that person is on a specific time.
Problem:
As you can imagine the secretarys of group A needs to know what the persons in group B are doing and visa versa.
Solution
I looked into the InterOrg tool for exchange but that tool only can provide free/busy information. But can not allow a user from server 1 look into the calendar of a user on server 2.
Site information:
- 2 domains (Windows 2003)
- All Exchange servers are 2003
- There is no Trust between 2 domains
- There is no WAN connections between 2 domains (Planned in 2009)
Help:
I can imagine that we arent the only company with this problem. So does anyone knows a solution for this case?

Hi Wesley,
1. We firstly need to create two-way trusted between the two domains
2. Then we can use MIIS/IIFP and configure GALsync to synchronize GAL in-between these two domains.
3. Once GAL is synchronized then they can provide at least reviewer permissions to users in other Domain to access Calendar.

Hi Mike,
I have a similar situation to Wesley's:
Two different organisations want to share free/busy information and public folder information. I have tried reading up information on the Interorg Replication Utility and believed this should work for this scenario. However, I am unable to see the second organization's public folders. Am I missing something?
Should there be trust configured between both organisations? Should it be one-way or two-way? According to the utility, there should be a subscriber and a publisher, does this imply that the Interorg tool needs to be installed in both Exchange Organisations?
I have gone over the literature in KB 238573, and it sounds ambiguous.
Can you please assist? Can you point me in the right direction?
Finally, will this Interorg Utility work for only two organisations? How about if there is a third company involved?
Regards
Spaiddy
