Shared mailbox sent mail stuck in Outbox of user outlook.
User as full and send as permission to Shared mailbox, when user try to send as mail from shared mailbox mails get stuck in shared mailbox outbox.

It usually takes an hour to effect the permissions..

Also very important you need to ensure that the user is not part of any of the protected groups such as Enterprice Admin, Schema Admin, Domain or Backup Admin.. etc.. If the user is part of any of the protected groups the permissions will be reviked aftafter an hour and this will not work

Dear Sunil, 

This is not very clear why emails are not going , this can be many things 

1. Clear the outbox 

2. Permission issue

3. Check if your server is working fine, sometime connectivity may be issue

4. Sometime changed or expired password may be the issue. 

Please update me once issue resolved..

Thanks for your time taken to respond me.

User is not part of any Restricted groups, User primary mailbox is working fine w/o any issue, Only he is having issue when sending mail as "Send as" shared mailbox during which mail stuck in shared mailbox "OUTBOX" and not getting delivered.

User has Full & Send as permission on shared mailbox with auto mapping enabled.

Need to verify if user able to do "Send as" using OWA.

Hi,

From your description, I recommend you run your Outlook in cached mode and click the Send/Receive to check whether the message can be sent. I have seen that this method works for some people.

Thanks for your response.

I verified in both cache/non cache mode and then clicking on Send/Receive still the email stays in shared mailbox outbox not delivering to recipient.

And user as added shared mailbox manually to outlook and not by auto populate method.

Hi,

Please run get-mailboxfolderstatistics against shared mailbox and see the items in outbox.

If it is more than shown in outlook then use mfcmapi and remove all mail items from outbox.. Hopefully it should solve your problem.

can you chek and confirm whether the user (the one with Send As permissions assigned) has "Allow inheritable permissions.." check box enabled ??
