Sharing Oulook calendar's via a website?
What we are trying to do:We have 20 or so people in our organization that want to 'share' their calander with everyone else. We have tried the 'shared' calendar root, it works good, however having to maintain to calendars (personal and shared) is more work, not maintaining a personal calendar doesnt work because of integration with Blackberries and reminders..etcIdealling, we would have an Intranet website that would contain links to the users personal calendars allowing people to see it.... Anyone know of any third party programs that allow this type of intergration? We are using Exchange 2003 / Outlook 2003

Hi there,Take a look at Sharepoint Server 2007 (MOSS), you can share users calendars and integrate them with it. This is probably what you are looking for.OliverOliver Moazzezi | Exchange MVP, MCSA:M, MCTS:Exchange 2010, BA (Hons) Anim

Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that we are currently implementing a Internet / Intranet solution (not sharepoint), so Sharepoint isnt really an option due to costs. Sharepoint does provide us with what we wants for this, however it cost too much.

Hi,I have to agree with Oliver about Sharepoint. Not only will it do what you want, it will do a lot more. I think all organizations should have it. It is one of the most underutilized Microsoft products I know of.If price is a concern you can downloadSharepoint Services 3.0 for free.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/sharepoint/bb684455.aspxYou can also share an individual's personal outlook calendars with AD members if you haveExchange. You don't need to maintain two sets of calendars. You can assigna user's personal calendar with permissions to be viewed, edited, etc by other users. This will allow other users to view and edit that individuals's personal calendar. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP011111491033.aspxhttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/ha101743591033.aspxMiguel

ah, good point, I had forgotten about Sharepoint Services. I will am downloading it now to see how it allows for web views of calendars.I had looked into Sharepoint as our Intranet solution, however we went with another product that is geared specificallytowards the medical field and has a policy and procedure module that fits our needs perfectly.. unfortunatly it doest have the colaboration features that SP has.edit: I am aware that we can share calendars, the issue I am having is how to share 20 calendars with 300 users, so that the 20 calendars are easily accessible .

Hello,WSS 3.0 can integrate with outlook calendar but I think the user has to go through a manual syncronization if I am not mistaken. But i'm not 100% sure.Using outlook calendar sharing seems the most logical way to go about it. MiguelMiguel Fra /

Sorry I havent updated this post, bad habbit of mine.I found an alternate solution... it was right in front of my eyes too! By using OWA with the proper permissions, users can view the calendars as a website which is exacly what I wanted.
