Shutdown Exchange 2010
Hi, For some reason, we need to shutdown exchange 2010 server (two servers with DAG configuration) for 12 hours. i want to ask is that Just go and shut down the server or any process need to concern? Thanks! peilin

Hi, There is no specific process before shut down any Windows Servers. I suggest you to verify the services are running and test settings / traffic once it comes online againRegards from www.windowsadmin.info

Hi Peilin, If you have plan to shut down both node then its OK, you can go ahead. When start both DAG node then follow below points for more accuracy :). 1. start FSW first (Fileshare Witness) (I hope its already started) 2. Start active node first in DAG (in case of active/passive) 3. check eventlog,services as suggested by Manu. then perform some test like test-mapi, test-owa etc. 4. Check log shipping in both node .
