Simple steps for configuring Exchange 2010 Calendars
Hey folks, We're using an Exchange adapter for our Meetingminder classroom schedules and I've not had any experience with Exchange previously. I've installed Exchange 2010 on a Windows 2008 server, but most of the initial documentation deals with setting up mailboxes, appropriately. However, can someone give me a simple bullet list of how to create some users with calendar access so we can publish those Room Calendars or do I have to go through the full user mailbox setup for each room? I'm primarily a Linux/Netware/OES Admin, and so have little experience with Windows server administration. :( Thanks for all your help!

You'll need to create resource mailboxes: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2010/management-administration/resource-mailboxes-exchange-2010-part1.html http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124374.aspx http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124255.aspx

Hi, As Andy mentioned above, you can first create resource mailbox. It has specific Active Directory attributes that related to the use of resources, such as an attribute that specified the number of people that a meeting room could hold. And then configure it according to the above link and your actual situation. Hope this helps. Thanks Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
