Since installing CU7, can't connect using imap with login domain/username/alias command

with a base exch 2013 installation, i created a general AD user account called imap_agent. Then added the acct to the 'Exchange Trusted Subsystem' group so it would have access to all existing mailboxes.

I could then use the following imap command to access any mailbox:

. login domain/imap_agent/user1{imap_agent pswd}

after installing CU7, the imap login no longer works

Any suggestions? if not, how do i report this problem to MS

Hi mnsandler,

Thank you for your question.

Did the account access to all existing mailboxes before Exchange install CU7?

Are there any errors when we didnt access to existing mailboxes? I suggest we send errors to ibsexc@microsoft.com for our troubleshooting.

We could check if we have add Imap_agent to Exchange Trusted Subsystem by the following steps:

  1. Run ADsiedit.msc in RUN;
  2. Navigate to Default naming context[domain.com]>Microsoft Exchange Security Group>Exchange Trusted Subsystem, then right click properties,
  3. We could find the item of member to check if Imap_agent is in the member item.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

I would suggest you doing the same thing running dsa.msc
Adsiedit is very fragile location.
