I have a single Exchange 2003 server with the latest service pack. I currently have it up and running and sitting behind my firewall. I have port 443 configures to pass the traffic to my Exchange server so OWA and Active Sync work. I have found instructions on how to configure it as a single front end/back end server but I have not been successful at making it work. My goal is to allow remote users to launch Outlook and connect to the Exchange server. When I test the setup, I see that Outlook is trying to connect with several ports. It does not initiate the connection with 443 only. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all your help. I have used these documents already to get to the point that I am at now. When I launch Outlook, I am not able to get past the login screen. It is not authenticating for some reason. I see the traffic on my firewall on port 443. I do not see anything in the event logs on the exchange server.

I am sorry for the delay. I am not receiving an email when there is a response to this. I have tried typing in domain\user and user@domain.com. Neither work. It appears to try to connect on ports other than 443.
