Iwant tosetthe smarthost for the SMTP virtual server in Exchange 2003 (hosting mailbox of @mydomain.com) to forward all smtp requestemail to an antivirus gateway (the smarthost) for sending out. If I sendemail tomy exchange 2003 as smtp serverbut the recipient is in local domain(eg. user1@mydomain.com), Will the email route to the smarthost or directly send to the local domain user?

Itwill be processed locally without going to the smarthost.
