Some users can't send to local group
Windows 2000 Server with Exchange 2003. Some users can send to a local Staff group while others receive an error as shown below. "450 recipient address rejected Domain Not Found"I've tried with all kinds of domains on the end of the group address but it seems to make no difference the same users can send and the same users cannot. There's no security tab in AD for the group either so I'm not able to verify if everyone has send to permissions. The group is set to accept messages from everyone though. Thanks for your help guys.CheersDan

I got an email with a reply to this thread but for some reason it doesn't actually show up in the thread. What I received is below. In answer, the SMTP connector is set to accept messages from everyone. I've also just installed SP2, but it no change. There's no security tab in the AD either, is this specific to 2003 Server? The group is a global distribution group. In the reply shown below it says related article to share but there's no link? CheersPosted by Xiu Zhang - MSFT in General Discussions Hi, Please check restrict delivery on SMTP connector. Besides, what is the type of the group? Ahh ok thanks for that. Is there a way to see what security is on the group in Windows 2000 Server? In 2003 there's a security tab in AD, no such thing in 2000. Otherwise I can't see anything that would be restricting users, they're all in the same groups and the connector is not restricted, it's set to accept messages from everyone.

Hi, Base on my research, we can edit registry to add value on ShowSecurityPage. The ShowSecurityPage value causes Exchange System Manager to display a Security tab on all configuration objects. If the ShowSecurityPage value is not present, or if its value is set to 0, the Security tab is available only on Address List objects, mailbox and public stores, and top-level public folder hierarchies.
