Start & Stop Exchange Server
Hi all,For Exchange 2003, there are multiple services like: * MSExchangeMGMT * RESvc * POP3Svc * IMAP4Svc * NntpSvc * SMTPSVC * MSExchangeES * MSExchangeIS * MSExchangeMTA * MSExchangeSA * IISADMIN * MSSEARCH * SpoolerI know it may sound quite odd, but if we were to "Start/Stop the Exchange Server", then typically what all services should be part of that? Is there a convention that most of the Exchange server admins follow w.r.t. this? Thanks,Kamal

Kamal,Usually stopping or starting the MSExchange System Attendant service will stop and start all the services.Mark Morowczynski|MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP: Enterprise Support|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com

Thanks Mark & Elvis for your help on this. I tried using Mark's suggestion of restarting the MSExchange System Attendant service, and it seems to me that it restarts the other most important services as it's dependency.
