Are there any recipient update services ( domain or Enterprise) still pointing at that DC?Are the Exchange Servers set to automatically discover DCs? Have you tried restarting the System Attendant?

I would look at this instead:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=6.5.6940.0&EvtID=2091&EvtSrc=MSExchangeDSAccess&LCID=1033As for the automatic discovery, in ESM, under the properties of the server, look under the Directory Access tab and see if automatic discovery is checked.

also don't forget to restart the System Attendant service so that it can discover new GC's or DC'sVinod
