Storage Group Limit
We have exchange enterprise 2007 installed and working. Recently we moved from one storage group with one db to trying to create 4 storage groups, each with their own db. Upon trying tomount the last db in storage group 4 we get an error from exchange.

when I run the following cmd get-exchangeserver | FL edition, admindisplayversion
Edition : EnterpriseAdminDisplayVersion : Version 8.0 (Build 685.24)

We have restarted the server several times since we built it, so it should have taken the key into effect. Also it is not in trial mode. Please help we really need to add more storage groups and more databases.

Stupid question, but did you activate the product? It sure sounds like it thinks you have a standard license. You could also try re-entering the product key.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've got an old Exchange 2003 server set up and installed the 2007 server in the same domain. The two are talking fine, and I'd created a public storage group and another mailbox storage group with a single mailbox in it. I was able to create 1 public storage group and 4 mailbox storage groups (each with a single mailbox in it), but when I created the 5th storage group with the 5th mailbox in it, I was unable to mount the mailbox database and got the same error above. I also have the enterprise edition and have already activated the product. I no longer see an option of activating the product, so I can't just re-enter the key. Let me know if you've come up with a solution.
