Hello, We are migrating from Exchange Server2003 running on windows server2003 to Exchange server2010 running on Windows Server2008. We have installed Windows server2008 and Exchange Server2010 successfully on the new server machine and AD is running properly and contains all Objects and Groups from the old AD. The problem is that there is no Strorage Group in the new Exchange server 2010. How do we make sure that all the mailboxes from Exchange 2003 have moved to Exchange 2010? Please help. Fred

There are no longer storage groups in Exch 2010. Databases are now defined at the Organizational level and not the Server level. Now in the Upgrade Process from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010, the last step is "Move Mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010" as per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998186.aspx. How do I move the mailboxes? And what about the Mail Store feature in Exchange 2010? Regards, Fred

You will use the Exch 2010 tools, either the Exchange Management Console (EMC) or Exchange Management Shell (EMS) to migrate mailboxes to the 2010 mailbox server.
