Storage Limits Synch
In Exchange 2003 if I modify the Storage Limits for a mailbox, how long does it take to be effective? I know that if I modify it today, the end user logs in tomorrow and it is working, but when I need the changes to take effect immediatelly, that does not happen. is there a way to make the changes effective immediatelly? thank you

It should affect immediately or in few min. You are modifying the AD attributes. Delay is basically because of the delay in Active directory replication.
Connecting to right active directory server and forcing active directory replication should apply storage limit settings ASAP

Yes, by default it can take up to 2 hours due to Information Store cache which updates every 2 hours.
If you want to set it to less amount of time then you can change a registry key but that may affect your server performance and suggest you to don't set less than 10-15 minutes. Registry keys are explained in below KB.
Exchange 2000 mailbox size limits are not enforced in a reasonable period of time; fix requires Exchange 2000 SP2

For emergencies case you can restart Information Store service but it affects the access of all users of that server.
