Strange Autodiscover behavior
Hi, it hurts a little that I have to bother other people with that, but as it seems I am stuck. My setup is quite simple: 1 Exchange 2007, one "main" AD-Domain "2angels.cc" (".net" is the internal Domain), no Firewall. I added one Maildomain "theben.at" to this server with address-list segregation . Like hosting. Now here is the thing: 2angels works fine in every way. "theben" has problems: 1. OWA works 2. All tests on "www.testexchangeconnectivity.com" are working perfectly for every user in that domain (autodiscover redirect)! 3. Outlook 2010 works perfect even with Autodiscover. BUT: Outlook 2007 makes Problems: 1. Connectivity test (outlook icon taksbar) says everything is failing. sometimes it gives a Certificate warning. 2. Consequently the autodiscover in Profile setup doesnt work - Certificate Failure. but even the redirect does not work. 3. If I setup the account manually, I don't get OAB (of course - certificate pops up). ??? I am really stuck. Everything SHOULD work according to the tests, but in fact with OL2007 it doesnt. (ONLY 2007). Additional Info: When I use "test-outlookwebservices" it gives an error: [PS] C:\>Test-outlookwebservices -clientaccessserver "ex.2angels.net" |fl Id : 1003 Type : Information Message : About to test AutoDiscover with the e-mail address Alex.Engelsberg@2a ngels.cc. Id : 1007 Type : Information Message : Testing server ex.2angels.net with the published name https://ex.2ang els.cc/EWS/Exchange.asmx & https://ex.2angels.cc/EWS/Exchange.asmx . Id : 1019 Type : Information Message : Found a valid AutoDiscover service connection point. The AutoDiscover URL on this object is https://autodiscover.2angels.cc/autodiscover/a utodiscover.xml. Id : 1013 Type : Error Message : When contacting https://autodiscover.2angels.cc/autodiscover/autodisc over.xml received the error The remote server returned an error: (401 ) Unauthorized. Id : 1006 Type : Error Message : The Autodiscover service could not be contacted. I didn't give it to much attention though, since all the Test on the Exhchange Website was working and I dont have internal clients, only external. I am absolutely stuck. searched everything I could. This post is my last hope. Looking forward, alex

I got a little further. I was able to resolve the "test-outlookwebservices" error. I had to enable "DisableLoopbackCheck" in the registry. Now even this test is giving me a Success for every user I test with. 1. The Exchange Connectivity test website shows for all testsettings: success 2. "test-outlookwebservices" shows for all users and domains Success 2. Outlook 2010 beta works perfectly with all users and domains. Only Outlook 2007 doesn't (on the redirect domain)! A certificate failure shows up and autodiscover fails and so does OAB download after manually installing the account. Why? I am stuck. Thanks a lot.

Hi, It seems that there is some problem with your certificate, Do you have proper SAN names for your CAS server in it like "ex.2angels.net " and "ex"? If u like then post the result of following command Get-ExchangeCertificate |fl subject, CertificateDomains Regards,Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com
