Strange errors installing additional Exchange 2007 server
Hi,
I'm attempting to install a 3rd Exchange 2007 server but am facing some extremely strange errors! Please see the bottom of the post for the log.
I have 2 existing Exchange 2007 servers in my Organisationthat are operational but one is unlicenced and the other isn't up to the job. The plan is to install a 3rd Exchange 2007 server onto nice new shiny hardware that has a warranty then migrate everything from the existing servers to my new server.
I inherited the system last week and from the looks of it the Exchange Organisation was upgraded from Exchange 2003 but the previous admin didn't follow the procedure to remove the last legacy server http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb288905.aspx. I've managed to clear up the errors relating to the legacy stuff.
It looks from the log like the previous admin was attempting to do something with clustering however the only trace I can find was an LCR drive but the copy status is set to disabled.
If anyone has any bright ideas it would be greatly appreciated. I really need to get the new server installed and begin the migration.
Many thanks,
Greg

Hi,
First Id like to clarify some information with you:
1. Exchange 2003 is existing in the network, is that right?
2. All valid data is on Exchange 2003,but not these invalid Exchange Server 2007?
3. How many Exchange Servers in the network?
4. What is the Operation System which we attempt to install Exchange Server 2007?
5. How do you setup Exchange 2007?Do you want to install all roles on one server?
6. Please check if you can find Cluster Administrator from Administrative Tools on Exchange Server 2003.
Besides, please send Exchangesetup.log and screenshot to Xiu Zhang for further troubleshooting.
Note: Please remove those invalid Exchange Server 2007.
