Surface Pro - Certificate Issues with Outlook

Hi Everyone,

I have recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro edition...and I am just about ready to return it.  I cannot describe how frustrated I am with this product right now.  I spent all of yesterday trying to figure out how to get my outlook exchange server to work, and it feels like everytime I solve one problem another arises.  I finally was able to connect to my company's VPN and connect to the server/set up my outlook. But now everytime I log in I get an error message stating "the security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust" then asks me if I would like to proceed, but when I say YES I get "there is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The security certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority.  Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server."

This is getting VERY frustrating.  I have never had this issue before (setting up my work email on my personal macbook, or on my blackberry...nor has anyone else at the company had any issues setting up on different laptops/phones).

Before you suggest importing the security certificate...I have done that! I imported it to "trusted root certification authorities" .... even said "import successful," but I still get this error message everytime and I am unable to connect to exchange.

Any suggestions, please!

Did you import the root certificate there?  That's what you're supposed to import.

Hello,

I recommend you check if you have imported the certificate into Trusted Root Certification Authorities by MMC.
