I have several users complaining about this sync error. I also get the same error when i try to download the OAB manually. Has anyone seen this error before.

Hi,
Make sure that the public folder store is mounted, that it contains a replica of the OAB folders.
Try to rebuild the ofline address book manually and see if that succeeds - you might need to step up the diagnostics logging to see all events generated by this rebuild.

Start with something really basic. Try rebuilding your offline address book. Also, if you have more than one Exchange public folder server, put a replica of the Offline Address books on all the servers.

If Outlook 2007 is used, have you enabled webdistribution for OAB and to what URL

Rebuilding the OABwas the first thingI tried. I only have the mailbox role on one server so I can't create Public folders on my Hub Server. My address for the OAB virtual is http://dcc-mail.dcc.local/OAB. Some users don't get the syc errors in their mailbox but if you try and force a manual update of OAB it kicks the error. I have tried to change the virtual address of the OAB to the ip with same results.

I found the problem. The Hub Server had SSL on the OAB Virtual SIte. I could not change that due to other configrations on that server. I installed Client Access role on the mailbox server added it to the OAB list and off it went. Thank You for your input.
