Synchronization Error
Beginning about a month ago, I began receiving a synchronization log email every time I pulled up outlook. I am using Outlook 2013, and I have linked my school email (University of Memphis, if it makes a difference) to the app on my computer. I do not understand the error it is giving me. It says that it is synchronizing server changes in folder "Working Set" but i do not have a folder by that name.

Below is a copy of the last email I received with this log error. When I click the link, it just takes me to the support homepage. What do I need to do to fix this error?

Hi,

Do you happen to know whether there are any other people around you have the same issue?

Please first login to Outlook Web App and see if you have the "Working Set" folder out there. (You should contact your IT Admin for the correct address if you dont know it.)

Some corruptions in Outlook data file might result in synchronization issues, you might want to rebuild your Outlook cache and resynchronize your Exchange data, then verify result:

  • Just go to File->Account Settings->Data Files, find out the location of your .ost file.
  • Go and delete it.
  • Re-open Outlook, this .ost file will be recreated by downloading your mailbox data from the server.
