System Message / Quota Message Inconsistent
I've successfully set up a custom quota message using the new-systemmessage command through powershell. The new message doesn't always come out. Sometimes, when the quota-notification goes it users get the new/custom message. Other times, they get the default. We're on Exchange 2007 SP1.

Remember that there are different messages for the different quotas. Are you sure that you applied custom messages to all quota levels (warning, prohibit send, and prohibit send and receive)? -- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". We only have a Warning Quota, no prohit send or prohit receive quotas. So, I created a WarningMailboxUnlimitedSize Quota Message.Yes, this happens to me as well. Last night, I got the default message. The day before, I got the new message.

Is your mailbox set to a different language than the message you created?-- Ed Crowley MVP"There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems.". HI, I have no problem in receiving "Warning Quota". But the problem is the system message does not show the current value. Instaed it simply shows the indicator and the default system message for all the mailbox size. it should actually fetch the issue warning value based on the mailbox. Please refer the below mail in which the mailbox size is expanded to 500MB but the system message says it will issue a warning once the mailbox reaches 204800 KB. but it should actually say that it will send a mail once it reaches 450000. and cannot send/receive when it reaches 500000. Hope the description is quite sufficient to understand the problem , Please help.. Your mailbox is almost full. 413MB 488MB Current size Maximum size You will receive daily warning when your mailbox more than 204800 KB. You can still send and receive mail. You cannot send mail when your mailbox reaches 256000 KB.To resume use of the mailbox take the necessary steps to reduce your mailbox size. Items in all of your mailbox folders including the Deleted Items and Sent Items folders count against your size limit. You must empty the Deleted Items folder after deleting items or the space will not be freed. Regards, Exchange Admin
