Greetings all, I have an Exchange server that has a 197 gb partition and of that 150gb is in the System Volume Folder, what is this and can I delete these to recover some free space? Thank you,

As you have found the cause: the volume shadow copies: the file type is "System File" and he name starts with this...{f66e7abb-ed89-11dd-b748-0019b9d1d5a0 and it just goes on and on. I am almost certain that these are Shadow Copies. I have ran in a cmd prompt "vssadmin list shadowstorage" and it cam back with Used Shadow Copy Storage space: 148.116 gb. So I would like to confirm if you installed Symantec backup software. Volume snap shots were pointing to this folder. It was updating the snapshots even the Volume shadow copy was disabled.
