Test-SystemHealth fails on CAS server
hi all,
After running the Test-SystemHealth cmdlet on our Exchange 2007 CAS server it produced this error:
+ Test-SystemHealth <<<<
Test-SystemHealth : The 'homeMDB' value for the Microsoft Exchange System Attendant service on server SCHZ43098 is missing. This will cause reliability problems.
Is this normal since there are no mailboxes on this server? Or does the SystemAttendant mailbox reside on all exchange server?
thanks in advance.

Hi,
The SystemAttendant mailbox only resides on mailbox role server.
What's the role of server SCHZ43098? Is it mailbox role server?
If there is no any mailbox database on the mailbox server, the error above will happens.
If the server SCHZ43098 has one or more mailbox database installed, this error is not expected. Please follow these steps to add the homeMDB value for the Microsoft Exchange System
Attendant service:
1. On DC, open Adsiedit.msc.
2. Expand to [CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com;
CN=Services;
CN=Administrative Groups;
CN=Administrative Group (FYD********);CN=Servers;
CN=SCHZ43098].
a. Expand [CN=InformationStore;CN=First Storgae Group], right click CN=Mailbox Database and choose properties. Locate the 'distinguishedName' attribute and copy the value.
b. Right click [CN=Microsoft System Attendant], and choose properties. Paste the value into the homeMDB attribute of the System Attendant mailbox.
