Text Boxes - MS Word 2013

Hi,

I have created some text boxes within a large guidelines style document I have created, however I notice one of the particularly lengthy textboxes, due to its size I guess, doesn't stay on the same page as the non-text-boxed text so I have a huge gap at the bottom of the page then the text box begins on a new page.  I will demonstrate in the below screenshot what I mean.

I basically want it to run on all on the same page and if the text in the textbox doesn't fit then it simply starts again as any normal text would do on the following page, still surrounded in its box.

Thanks,

FP

A text box cannot span two pages, so if it doesn't fit on the page, Word will push it to the next page. If you want the paragraph above the text box to stay with the text box, make sure that the text box is inline with the text, then select the paragraph above it, and tick the check box "Keep with next" in the "Line and page breaks" tab of the Paragraph dialog.

If you want text with a "box" around it to span two pages, do not use a text box, but use paragraph borders, or place the text in a table cell.

As usual Hans, thanks for the answer to my query!

Are you able to help with my query regarding columns (unanswered so far) - it is perplexing me and it would be helpful to know for when typing up our Minutes.

Thanks,

FP
