The Exchange organization does not support this version of exchange - EXCHANGE 2010 on 2008 R2

Hi,

I am currently trying to install 2010 exchange on 2008 R2 after an unsuccessful run with 2013 install.

I am getting this error with the readiness checks.

I have uninstalled 2013 exchange and removed the folders in /Program Files but it seems that it is still picking up the 2013 install.

Is there something in AD that i need to delete so it forgets about 2013?

Hi nikala,

Thank you for your question.

I agree with Hinte. So if we want to install Exchange 2010 on present organization, we could recover the AD to time which is before to prepare AD schema for Exchange 2013.

I suggest we could post error information when we install Exchange 2013 to ibsexc@microsoft.com for our troubleshooting.

In addition, there are a link for us to deploy Exchange 2013 on Window server 2008R2:

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998636%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
