The security Certificate has expired or is not yet Valid
outlook 2010 SBS 2008 and Exchange 2007 when we start Oultook it comes up with security Alert and it shows Remote.domain.com, it I try to goto Oullook Proxy setting and chang the connection to some thing else it saves it and when I start it , goes back to the setting before, I am getting Event ID 12014 on the server I was getting 12016 I think before I started to remove the old Certificate which has Remote.domain.com, But I have not been able to recreated. or I created but it has no name. og Name: Application Source: MSExchangeTransport Date: 7/21/2011 2:51:15 PM Event ID: 12014 Task Category: TransportService Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: SERVER.xxxx.local Description: Microsoft Exchange couldn't find a certificate that contains the domain name mail.okpca.org in the personal store on the local computer. Therefore, it is unable to support the STARTTLS SMTP verb for the connector Windows SBS Internet Send SERVER with a FQDN parameter of mail.xxxx.org. If the connector's FQDN is not specified, the computer's FQDN is used. Verify the connector configuration and the installed certificates to make sure that there is a certificate with a domain name for that FQDN. If this certificate exists, run Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Services SMTP to make sure that the Microsoft Exchange Transport service has access to the certificate key. Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="MSExchangeTransport" /> <EventID Qualifiers="49156">12014</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>12</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2011-07-21T19:51:15.000Z" /> <EventRecordID>981973</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>SERVER.xxxx.local</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>mail.okpca.org</Data> <Data>Windows SBS Internet Send SERVER</Data> </EventData> </Event> any Help please thanks

Hi, When you mark the thread as answered, the severity level gets down and the response from Microsoft might be delay. Regarding the Outlook profile goes back, I am suspecting it is caused by the Autodiscover configuration in Outlook 2007. There might be incorrect settings in the Server side, so when Outlook client connects, the autodiscover service verify it and then re-sync the configuration. To troubleshoot this issue, let me know the following information: 1. What change you have made on Outlook Proxy setting; 2. What is the security alert, certificate mismatch, or certificate invalid? 3. When does the issue occurs, as soon as the Outlook launches, or any while the Outlook is running? 4. How does the Outlook connects to Exchange server, is it via Outlook Anywhere? 5. Let me know the relationship on the following domain names: SERVER.xxxx.local mail.okpca.org Remote.domain.com Fiona
