Transaction failures occurred during MAPI connectivity testing
Since I upgraded from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2010 SP1 I started to get MAPI connectivity failures to the public folder database. I do not see any errors in the eventlog, but Ops manager is picking up on this.
When I run Test-MapiConnectivity I get the following result when it comes to the public folder:
RunspaceId : 056575fc-b9d5-4302-b892-e289c2160d02
Server : SMBX0001
Database : PF01
Mailbox :
Result : *FAILURE*
Latency : 00:00:00
Error : [Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.ObjectNotFoundException]: The Active Directory user wasn't found.
Identity :
IsValid : True
The Exchange 2010 servers has coexisted with Exchange 2003 servers in the same organisation, but all 2003 servers were taken down in april 2010.
Anyone has a clue?

Did you replicate all the PF folders to 2010? Have you changed the default PF database in the Client Settings tab for each database to point to 2010? Did you remove the replicas off of the 2003 server before shutting it down? Did you
uninstall the 2003 server or just turn it off? Can you browse the PFs from the PF Console in the EMC Toolbox?

Hi,
Just double checked the client settings tab to be sure and they are pointing to PF01 wich is a database on a 2010 server. We did move the replicas of the 2003 servers before we shut them down. We uninstalled it follwing an MS technet article. I am having
no problem browsing the public folders.
I forgot to mention that there is only system public folders in the system.
This feels very strange and I'm having trouble understanding this, why now and not drectly after removing the 2003 enviroment?

If you don't have any PFs (just system folders) do you need a PF database at all? If using Outlook 2007+ you shouldn't need PF's.
So you aren't having issues with the clients or servers and not seeing anything in the event viewer? Maybe this issue is with the management pack since the MP was orginally written for 2010 RTM and not SP1. Here is a similar thread about SCOM
reporting issues after SP1. Might have to wait for an updated MP.

Hi,
How is the issue if you use "Test-MapiConnectivity -Identity "midwest\john"?
Please try to sepcify a domain user and then do the test again.
Besides, please try to use ExBPA to have a health scan of the Exchange Server and then post the error report here for further troubleshootings.
Regards,
Xiu
