Transport Rule Exception Not Working
Hi All, I have a transport rule which applies footer text to all outgoing emails, which is fine, but when I add an exception for a specific mailbox (using 'except when the message is from people') the footer is still applied to messages sent from this specific mailbox. What's the easiest way to troubleshoot this kind of problem? Thanks, Matt

Can you post the rule?[string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

For me ,it's more easier to build my own transport agent.

Hi Matt, We can modify the rule to add an event to the application log and check the application log if the message hits the rule. Condition: what you want to Action: choose the box log an event with message Exceptions: when the message is from people We can also refer the article below which describes how to troubleshoot issues with transport rule, Advanced Exchange 2007 Transport Logs Troubleshooting Using Log Parser-Part 1: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2007/11/12/447515.aspx If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know. Best regards, Serena
