Greetings, I have update some contact information from within outlook and looking to get this information popoulated within the Global Address List contacts list within outlook, How can i go about making sure this has been updated? Example: New create user. didnt update job decription or phone number at the initial setup. Went back in to update it, I see it in active directory, however i dont see it inside of the global address book. please advise Deon

If you are using Outlook in cached mode, the OAB generation takes place on defined schedule and could take 24 hours to update in offline copy of your outlook.

How to Update the Offline Address Book http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997684(EXCHG.80).aspx Offline Address Book Properties > General Tab http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124719(EXCHG.80).aspx In client side, you can manually update OAB with the following steps: Outlook -> Tools -> Send/Receive -> Download Address Book -> Select Full -> Click OK.
