Every time I type the letters either disappear or shift. This occurs in my emails or word. I have not had this problem until I recently purchased a new laptop and installed Microsoft Office 2013. The cursor also jumps about.

This issue might be caused by the following factor:

1)Overtype mode is turned on.

Please go Word Options=>Click Advanced=>Under Editing options, clear the Use overtype mode check box.

2)Input method.

Pease try to change an input method.
