URGENT EX2K7 domainprep fails with following error
This is very frustrating, they have three domains, root and two child domains. There is a global catalog in one of the child domains, keep getting this error, I have heard that the root domain needs to have a global catalog as well. I am stumped.

I have the same problem only with one Parent and one Child. Did you figure out how to fix this?

Given that I ended up essentially rebuilding my forest from the root up I don't know if I found"the" solution to this or not. But what ultimately fixed this was:
I had to run the Exchange "/pd" on a child DC/GC in each domain, while logged on as an EA.
I can say, however, that ALL of my DC's were GC's through out this entire ordeal, so I wasn't a GC issue.

Ed,
Exchange 2K7 requires at least oneGC in the root domain as well as at least oneGC in each child domain where Exchange is to be installed.

Right, I understood that and I had that -- ALL of my DC's are GC's. So that wasn't the problem.

What command did you run?
Did you run: setup.com /PrepareAllDomains
I like run all the 'prepare' commands separately so I can be sure which is failing.
What environment are you coming from? 2003 - 2007?
