You can send internal messages using the user@domain.tld format or by selecting the user from the outlook address book (your outlook has to be set up for Exchange non POP3). So for example, if you internal domain is mydomain.local, you can send internal email to usersusing the internaldomain, i,e. bill@mydomain.local, etc.The POP3 connector on Exchange will take mail from another server using POP3 protocol, and deliver it to the Exchange user's mailbox. If you have a hosted server off-premise, you can use the POP3 connectorto get mail from that server and deliver it to Exchange users. There are many ways to configure Exchange mail, but the heart and soul of the Exchange Server is being a mail server. Let itsend and receive mail and let it be authorative for it's own domains.I feel that byusing the POP3 connector to pick up mail from an external server you are adding a layer ofcomplexity andcreating limitations.If you have a hosted Domain and Web site, you don't have to change that. You can leave it where it is. Just ask your hosting provider to add an A record (like mail.yourdomain.com) that points to your local Public IP and an MX record to point to the A record. Akshay,Is your outlook client configured for Exchange?Can you send a message to user@yourinternaldomain.local using outlook? In outlook, go to send a new message, then click on address book. Do the AD users appear in the Global Address List?
