Unable to Edit Auto-Response Message in Exchange 2007
I recently started to work in a new company where they have a 2007 exchange server. I was asked to change/edit the auto-response for one of the public emails ( e.g. jobs@ourdomain.com). I tried to edit this auto response from the web app
mail box but there is no luck. We still receive the same old message. There is no Transport Rule setup on the server, so it is not that rule affecting the auto response message. I even tried to change the message from one the users outlook 2010, but again
we get the same result.
any suggestion?

Delete it and recreate the rule either on the folder itself or create a hub transport rule.

Is there an external service that does it? You can set it up, for example, if you use Anti-Spam service.
Thank you.

There are so many emails in there. it is not a good idea to delete the box!

Nevermind, I found the solution: This was a rule set on another user's outlook, so the server would pick up the rule from the user's outlook. apparently this rule works anyways, even if your outlook is offline. more useful links about this:

I wouldn't do that anyways. Thanks for your help though.
