Unable to Track messages more than a month back...
The owner of the company asked me to pull a log of emails that were sent to a distribution group. He wants me to go as far back as one year. However, our Exchange 2007 server appears to only be going back as far back as 1 month. The smarthost we use allows
me to go as far back as 3 months and is able to pull more results than our Exchange server.
Is there something I am doing wrong or does Exchange really only keep a log of emails for a month?
Thanks

That is typically the default you need to increase the retention.

30 days is the default retention perid. You can modify that with the
"set-transportserver" cmdlet and the "-MessageTrackingLogMaxAge"
parameter.
